Well hello there! I was going to start this blog post out with an apology, but I made a promise to myself that I would get better about apologizing for resting which is what I was doing and not posting here. In my regular, non Eating Gilmore life, I work in a high school, so as you can imagine, the end of the school year is rather hectic. Not to mention, that end of the school year exhaustion and burnout is all too real. To preserve what little energy I had, I sort of took an unannounced hiatus from this blog space (and slowed down on creating and posting Instagram reels and TikToks). If there is one thing I will apologize for, it’s for not really telling y’all that I was taking a break. So sorry about that!
Here is a little bit about what I’ve been up to since my last post on March 19th!
Celebrated my Lorelai Gilmore birthday! I turned 32 this year, which is the same age that Lorelai is when the show starts (though we’re not going to spend too much time on THAT fact). To celebrate, a group of my friends got together and did some of Lorelai’s favorite things. We saw Moulin Rouge the musical in Dallas. Then we went to a diner for dinner, and ended the night with a drag show and margaritas! It was a fun day just like Lorelai would have wanted it to be.
Received a PR box from Hallmark for their new Gilmore Girls collection! I’m so grateful that Hallmark sent me some goodies from their new line of Gilmore Girls merch. Check their website because some great items are still in stock!
Finished cooking season 6! I know it seems like I just stopped altogether if you only follow me along here, but I actually shared all of my season 6 dishes already on my Instagram! I will be playing catch up here with all my recipes over the next couple of days so that I’ll be all set for season 7 this Friday, so stay tuned!
Was featured in Shoutout DFW! I had a great time talking with the team at Shoutout DFW about this project. Be sure to check out the article to see how I recommend finding a Stars Hollow vibe in the DFW metroplex if you’re ever in town.
Recorded an episode with the Gilmore to Say Podcast! I had so much fun talking to Haley and Tara about all things Eating Gilmore, that big ultimatum in season 6, and a spicy take about Dean Forester. I can’t wait for you to hear the episode on Tuesday! Make one of the Gilmore to Say Galentine Cocktails I made for the podcast to enjoy as you listen along!
I’m so excited to be back, and thank you for your patience and understanding. From me to you, happy cooking in the Hollow!
Copper Boom!
xoxo, Larisa
